Over the last year, I have started to recognize a theological trail running through my preaching and writing.

It began with The Forgotten Psalm and the present reign of Christ.

That led to In the Midst—not simply a book about suffering, but a study of God’s covenant presence from Eden to the New Creation.

From there came The Covenant Signature, then The Virtues of the Kingdom, and now the early beginnings of what may become a future series next year.

The thread running through all of it is becoming clearer:

The King reigns.

The King is present.

The King makes Himself known.

The King forms His people.

Right now, though, my focus is In the Midst. It is the next step in that journey and the book I am preparing to release on November 1.
